G. Zarembien? acquired 30% of the shares in the "Rontgen" platform
Greta Zarembiene, who has held the position of Head of Investor Relations at the real estate crowdfunding platform "Rontgen" since 2020, has acquired 30% of the shares of UAB "Tre?ia diena", the company that owns this brand.
The transaction was confirmed by the Bank of Lithuania.
G. Zarembiene purchased the shares from the platform's CEO, Martynas Stankevi?ius, who had been the sole shareholder of "Rontgen" since the beginning of 2021. The transaction amount was not disclosed by mutual agreement.
Greta Zarembiene joined the "Rontgen" team in February 2020 and is responsible for attracting investors, investor relations, platform marketing, communication, and partnerships. According to Zarembiene, her decision to become a shareholder in "Rontgen" was driven by her belief in the company's current activities and future potential.
"From the beginning, "Rontgen's" conservative business philosophy aligned well with my personal business values. We knew it would be a more challenging path in the early years of the platform, but time has shown that it was a more sustainable and investor-valued approach, gradually putting "Rontgen" among the top three market leaders. We have big goals and an ambitious, cohesive team, but the platform's priorities will continue to be strict project selection, conservatism, safety, and timely fulfillment of commitments to investors," G. Zarembiene is quoted as saying in the company's press release.
The "Rontgen" platform was founded in 2017. Previously, its shares were owned by the real estate development company "Bolds Property Partners," the international real estate consultancy company "Newsec," and Martynas Stankevicius.
M. Stankevicius fully bought out the other shareholders' stakes at the beginning of 2021. He stated that with G. Zarembiene joining as a shareholder, there would be no changes in the company's management or strategy.
""Rontgen" has had a partnership structure from the very beginning. So I am pleased that my colleague, who has significantly contributed to the company's growth during both good and challenging times and who shares a similar vision, can now become a partner," commented M. Stankevicius.
In 2020, the total amount raised by "Rontgen" investors reached EUR 6.7 million, and last year it grew to EUR 24.1 million. The company's staff increased from 2 to 9 during this period. In May of this year, "Rontgen" investors raised EUR 9.3 million, and the platform plans to close 2023 with EUR 50 million.
The "Rontgen" platform currently has more than 15,000 users. The platform is licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. Since "Rontgen's" inception, nearly EUR 70 million has been raised through the platform. The active portfolio of the platform currently exceeds EUR 28 million. "Rontgen" focuses on real estate projects by medium and large developers.
